The Holiday Riding Series

HOLIDAY STRESS?  HORSES RELIEVE THAT THE BEST!

2017 holiday reg

Our riding lessons happen Monday-Saturday in our outdoor or indoor arena.  Children and adults!  The  Regular Holiday  Series begins November 13, 2017  and ends on January 20, 2018. (10 weeks).  The 10 week lesson series is $530.00, or to make it easy,  two half payments of $265.00, the second after five weeks. Checks or cash preferred.  We do accept Visa and MC, but there is a 3% surcharge because their rates are so very high. Please honor your payment plan!

The 10 week Mini-Might Holiday Series is for children age 5-8 years old only.  There are exceptions, but we should meet your Mini-Might first.  Minis ride for 1/2 hour once a week or more, in groups of three.  The Mini-Might Series costs $375.00. You can pay in two installments; $187.50 x 2, the second due no later than December 10.

You ride for one full hour, (Minis for 1/2 hour) in small groups--horses are tacked and ready for you when you arrive. . The only equipment you'll need is a hard soled shoe with a heel, like a work boot. Long pants, and dress in layers, because riding is good excersize and you'll want to adjust as you warm up. We have helmets that meet the latest safety standards, but if you go on riding, you should purchase your own helmet. (Inexpensive). Riding is safe and structured here -- our school has been operating continuously on Clapboard Hill Road since 1992!  Co-owner Jill Walter-Robinson is the gold standard of teaching riding -- this is her 43rd year in the ring. Most instructors at area barns are former students of Jill -- why not ride with the professor?  :).  We are so lucky to have longtime alumns Quinn Baron and Anne Schioppo teaching also. We are well known for our fun, professional program and laid- back family atmosphere.  Dozens of our young people have grown up here and become professional riders, polo players, stable owners and managers, veterinarians, ferriers, and equine scientists.  And, mothers who rode here as children are now bringing their own children here to ride. (Help! We're getting old).

How Do I Register?

(A free introductory lesson is available if you would like to try riding here first)...

For either Series, you need to fill out, mail or drop-off a registration and include a check for at least 50%; you may pay by debit card here, and we also accept Visa, or Mastercard.

VALUE ADDED 🙂  Kids already taking lessons and age 10-16 can take our 6 week apprentice course and volunteer around the stable one day a week after passing an exam -- usually eligible after taking three 10 week riding series.  We are strict about requirements because we are serious about safety. The course begins in February.  This is how all of our teachers have started -- and several alumns who became veterinarians, farriers and even owners of their own horse farms.

Safety First

In 20 years we have the best safety record in the industry.  Our helmets meet the latest USEA safety standards.  Riders are not pushed to do more than they are comfortable doing.  Our horses are much like therapy dogs -- kind by nature and trained to please.  PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY down the driveway. There is a blind hill--puppies and children and horses may appear suddenly.  Please drive slower than you think is proper, even if you are late!

Don't forget our popular Ride N' Splash Summer Program for next year.
